Mostly Miranda has been playing lead roles in small films, such as Doing Time for Patsy Cline and other Australian movies. However, she has been in big 'uns such as The Thin Red Line and What Lies Beneath as a supporting actress. LotR is her biggest break yet, playing what some believe to be the most important female role in the story (I believe that this is the most important female role in the history of the universe, but you know). At the very least she delivers the best girl-power line, "I am no man," much to the delight of the women in the theater.
Miranda is married to Peter O'Brien, an fellow Aussie actor she met while performing A Doll's House. They wed New Year's Day, 2003. What a lucky dog!
